Filing for county offices closes March 30

The deadline to file nominating petitions for several Minnehaha County offices is 5 p.m., Tuesday, March 30.
Petitions may be submitted for the offices of county auditor, register of deeds, sheriff, county commissioner (three open chairs), and delegates to both the Republican and Democratic state conventions.
Petitions must be filed in the office of the Minnehaha County Auditor, 415 N. Dakota Ave., Sioux Falls, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Nominating petitions for the offices of U.S. senator, U.S. representative, state senator, state representative, and governor must be filed in the office of the Secretary of State, State Capitol Building, Pierre, SD 57501, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
