Registrations open for Lanny O’Neal tourney
Registrations are now being accepted for he second annual Lanny O’Neal Memorial Golf Tournament on Aug. 27 at the Brandon Municipal Golf Course. The tournament is a four-person scrambler, beginning with a noon shotgun start.
In 2008, O’Neal’s life was accidentally taken while hunting with family and friends. Funds raised from this tournament will help increase awareness of hunting safety in South Dakota so another life doesn’t have to be lost. Last year 10,000 “Stop - unload before entering” magnets were purchased and distributed throughout South Dakota. The hope is to do the same this year.
To sponsor a hole, the cost is $150. A four-person team and hole sponsorship is $400, and a four-person team is $300. The fee includes 18 holes of golf, cart and a meal.

Putt for Dough (every fairway hit deduct 1 putt): 1.) Tie-Cathy Nikalson and Angie Wrightsman, 10 putts; 2.) Tie-Judy Brosseau, Pam Cross and Mary Krum,11 putts.
Men’s Day - July 22
Fairways and Greenies (Fairways hit -1 point, every green hit -2 points): 1.) Ryan Feteral, 16; 2.) Tie-Craig Nelson, Brian Reiter, Keith Hansen, 15; 3.) Tie-John Conlon and Arnold Thue, 14.
